Innovation incentive measures

The ways to encourage employees to innovate are:

1. Set an example. An innovative enterprise needs to start with founders and executives. Even the most creative founder can't drive innovation entirely by himself, it needs someone to lead. Tell employees with your own actions (not just words) to make innovation a part of your daily life and let employees know that you attach great importance to innovation.

2. recognize the goal. Innovation doesn't happen out of thin air. Every team member should be clear about the business goals of the startup company and the goals that should be achieved at each development stage. This will help them understand which areas are important and which areas may benefit from new ideas.

3. offer rewards. As a startup, you don't have much cash on hand, but you can still reward your innovative team in other ways. For example, public recognition, bonuses, paid holidays or promotions are all good ways to recognize innovative employees. Even if employees' innovation doesn't work in the end, as a business owner, you should let the public know that you are very grateful to employees for their efforts in innovation.

4. Write innovation into employees' job descriptions. In the assessment process, employees will be rewarded for their innovation, while other employees need to actively seek innovation. These should apply to every employee in the company, from customer service to engineering supervisor. Not every employee can provide constructive suggestions for the company's business model, but they can reflect on their work and provide valuable suggestions.

5. Conduct Hacking Day activities on a regular basis. Learn from Google's famous 20% project, that is, the company allows employees to spend one day a week, about 20% of their time in activities outside work. The company can set aside one day or one morning every week to hold hacking days regularly, so that employees can explore what they are interested in in their spare time and generate unlimited creativity.

6. Seriously consider the ideas put forward by employees. If employees' ideas are rejected, not taken seriously or seriously considered, or worse, ridiculed by employers, then employees' enthusiasm for innovation will not last. If employers and employees are friends, they will hurt each other's feelings. We can develop a system to gain employees' creativity and ensure that innovative ideas will not disappear into a black hole. Listen carefully to every employee's ideas and give them respect, while ensuring that other employees follow this attitude.

7. Implement ideas. Although this is obvious, many innovative projects often only stay in words, and there is no sign of implementation at all. If you have no motivation for employees' creativity, then you will find that the creative well of the enterprise will soon dry up. Don't miss a good opportunity to implement your idea. Select two or three potential employee ideas, then call team members to revise them together, and finally choose at least one to test.
