Today, Qinghai Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid and China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. jointly carried out the field test of the grid-connected performance of the world's first networked optical storage system.

As an important milestone in the development of new energy technology in China, the conclusion of this test fully proves that compared with the traditional grid-connected new energy generation system, the grid-connected new energy generation system can play a key role in strengthening the operation characteristics of the power grid and achieving the goal of high renewable energy. The successful completion of the test also provides an effective theoretical basis for the safe and stable operation of the new power system with new energy as the main body in China in the future.

It is worth mentioning that on June 365438+February 3 1 day, 2022, the first large-scale networked energy storage power station in China-Hubei Jingmen Xingang Energy Storage Power Station was successfully connected to the grid.

Generally speaking, there are two typical control technologies for energy storage inverters, namely grid-connected control technology and grid-connected control technology. At present, the grid-connected energy storage inverter usually adopts grid-connected control mode, that is, the inverter generates corresponding active power and reactive power according to the voltage frequency of the power grid.

However, with the access of more and more new energy and power electronic equipment, the inertia of power system decreases, the strength of the system weakens obviously, the stability problem becomes more and more serious, and network routing is gradually favored. Compared with power grid energy storage, this technology can provide synchronous voltage and current and provide virtual inertia for power grid. In extreme environment, it can also provide the functions of fault ride-through, black start and active and reactive power stabilization, at the same time, it can reduce the need for reconstruction of standby lines, ensure the stability of power grid, and finally realize 100% renewable energy supply.

According to professionals from Qinghai Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid, only a few countries in the world have mastered networking technology and are basically in the research and development stage.

Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and other five departments jointly issued the Action Plan for Accelerating the Green and Low-carbon Innovation and Development of Power Equipment, proposing to accelerate the development of clean and low-carbon power generation equipment, including promoting the research and development of networked new energy power generation equipment.

In addition, the Australian Renewable Energy Bureau allocated 65,438+75 million Australian dollars in February last year to support eight battery energy storage projects, with the energy storage scale of 2GW/4.2GWh, all of which were newly built or renovated power grid energy storage projects.
