Sichuan Meiguhe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. was established in June 2003. It is a limited liability company established by China Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group Company, China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Construction Group Company, China Electric Power Engineering Consulting Group Company and Chengdu Survey and Design Institute of State Power Company in accordance with the People's Republic of China (PRC) Company Law to develop the hydraulic resources of Meigu River Basin in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The company's main tasks are: according to the development strategy of the central and western regions, in order to accelerate the economic development of Sichuan, optimize and adjust the power supply structure of Sichuan, realize "transmission of electricity from west to east" and "transmission of electricity from Sichuan to east", accelerate the development of hydropower resources in Meigu River basin, and carry out basin, cascade, rolling and comprehensive development of hydropower in Meigu River basin.
