Master Ji Qun's Buddhist View
Buddhism is the wisdom to know the truth of life and the method to relieve the pain of life. Buddhism has a tradition of receiving and supporting. In Buddha's time, monks did not have children, but begged for food. It has two meanings: one is to make monks pursue liberation wholeheartedly and benefit all beings; First, let all beings cultivate Futian through support. As for what we can get from society, it involves issues such as motivation. Among the disciples of Buddha, there are two kinds of disciples: "those who smell it" and "those who are bodhisattvas". The former pursues individual liberation, while the latter vows to lead the masses to liberation. Accordingly, the code of conduct and discipline are also different. According to what you have heard, there is no need to have more in your personal life than the clothes, food, shelter and medicine necessary for life. According to the precepts of Bodhisattva, we should benefit all sentient beings extensively, which means that we must do our best to benefit all sentient beings, which requires corresponding financial and material resources. If you make a vow to benefit the public, if you use it directly or indirectly for the cause of teaching methods, and if you don't violate the basic norms of precepts, then you can get anything. The most important thing is that you can't enjoy yourself. Buddhism's contribution to society is mainly reflected in the following aspects. First of all, Buddhism can provide healthy religious beliefs for society. If traditional religions are protected, there is a good communication environment to meet the people's belief needs, and the standard of distinguishing authenticity is clear, all kinds of cults will no longer have an opportunity. Secondly, Buddhism can provide the society with a correct outlook on life. Today, many people are confused, the suicide rate remains high, and depression is increasing day by day. The fundamental reason is the lack of reflection on the true value of life, and it is easy to get lost. Third, Buddhism can play a charitable role for society. With the development of market economy, the gap between the rich and the poor is getting bigger and bigger, which also leads to various social unrest. Before the welfare system is perfect, it is a necessary way to adjust the relationship between the rich and the poor by relying on social forces to carry out charitable activities. Religious groups have high credibility and should give full play to their own advantages. Fourth, monasteries can become the spiritual home of the masses. In this impetuous and noisy world, people need a post station more and more to rest their hearts and sublimate their spirits. In this regard, temples still have great potential to play.
