After 1980, he successively served as President of Chinese Buddhist Association, Dean of China Buddhist College, Consultant of Senior Buddhist College of Tibetan Language Department of China, Chairman of China Religious Peace Committee, Vice Chairman of China Calligraphers Association, Standing Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy, Director, Vice Chairman, Honorary Chairman and Vice Chairman of China Democratic Progressive Party Central Committee, and member of China People's Political Consultative Conference.
1993 served as the fifth president of Xiling Press.
