Company history of MTU company

Starting from 1899, the Friedrichshafen engine manufacturer, the predecessor of MTU, began to manufacture heavy-duty engines, which set many milestones for the world engine industry with its groundbreaking technology. 1960, Mercedes-Benz acquired the engine manufacturer in Frederick Harbor. The predecessor of MTU company, Schihafen, Friedrichshafen, manufactured the most expensive industrial products in Germany, such as Zeppelin engine, Maibakh, Zeppelin super luxury car and Maibakh engine. Wilhelm Wilhelm maybach is the founder and talented designer of Frederic Port. Before Frederic Port was founded in 1907, he was the technical director of Daimler -Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) and the designer of the first Mercedes-Benz (190 1), which is the history of automobiles.

Frederik Port was merged into Daimler Group in 1960, and a new brand was born: Motoren-und Turbinen-Union Friedrichshafen GmbH (Schihafen Co., Ltd., Engine and Turbine Alliance, referred to as MTU). Since then, MTU Friedrichshafen Factory has become a major manufacturer of railway locomotive engines, marine engines and diesel generator sets.
