This mistake caused Danjiangkou Hydropower Station to trip and disconnect from its main grid, Hubei Power Grid, when it resumed grid connection.
In the morning 10: 07, because the electricity generated by Danjiangkou hydropower plant was not delivered in time, it was equivalent to the electricity of the whole Hubei province13 missing.
The power grid gap is so big at once, which directly leads to the violent shock of the whole power grid in Hubei. The power load is like a huge wave to the power plants in Huangshi and Wuchang. In less than six minutes, more than ten other power plants tripped and shut down. Only 1 1 minute after leaving the power grid, Hubei power grid collapsed as a whole.
This is also the biggest power outage caused by accidents in China power industry since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and it has also set a record for the longest power outage in the world.
The first to be hit was WISCO, the largest steel plant at that time.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), a super-large steel complex was built in China. 1958 When hot metal was first released from the furnace, the top leaders came on stage to watch. At the time of the accident, advanced production lines imported from Germany and Japan were also built in WISCO.
According to the newspaper records at that time, when the disaster came, the circulating water was interrupted and four blast furnaces were about to collapse.
The workers spontaneously formed a human chain to deliver water, and all the pools in the factory were used up. The scorching sun burns over WISCO Coking Plant, and coke piles up like a mountain. The wind has fueled the fire, which may spread at any time. Residents who live nearby are preparing. It never rains but it pours. Several other mines also began to seep, and the elevators in the mines could not start. Miners were trapped underground, chlorine gas from nearby chemical plants began to leak, and nearby residents were poisoned.
All emergencies point to the rapid restoration of WISCO's power supply.
However, Wuchang Power Plant, which provides standby power for WISCO, has no electricity itself.
Coincidentally, on this day, Feng Yuanxi was also on duty in the central control room of Wuchang Power Plant.

Judging from his own experience, Feng Yuanxi decided that this was by no means a power system oscillation. He asked his superiors again and insisted on the first plan.
However, this plan has never been approved by the above.
Five minutes passed, and one minute later, Wuchang Power Plant itself lost power, the steam turbine generator stopped running, and the fire went out.
This is Feng Yuanxi's courage that four blast furnaces in WISCO will be scrapped, and I don't know where it came from. Without an order, he grabbed Xiong Hanqing, the group attendant on duty, and shouted loudly: Listen to me, follow my instructions, and grab the standby power supply of WISCO security.
Then, after ten seconds of instruction, Xiong Hanqing opened all the lines of 10kV and the 3 14 and 3 16 switches of 35kV, which were the 3 15 switches of ordinary transformer switch and WISCO 35kV security power supply. At the same time, Deng Menglin turned on the generator switch and told her to boost the generator.
Then, Feng Yuanxi ran to the turbine workshop of the car and told his colleagues that the small system collapsed and began to use the residual gas of the boiler. The fog of electricity consumption in the factory just reduced the fat ball. Immediately, he used a pneumatic oil pump to pump the oil pump, and within a few seconds of restarting the speed regulation, it was more than 2700 revolutions per minute.
Then Feng Yuanxi ran to the central control room, asked Deng to turn on the generator switch, informed the circulating water pump attendant to start the circulating water pump, and informed the boiler monitor to restart the blower, re-ignite the boiler and maintain the boiler pressure.
Close call, Wuchang Power Plant sent electricity to WISCO, restarted the cooling water pumping station, and the system resumed operation.

But he knows that he has gone far beyond his authority and violated the regulations. At that time, the circulating water has been interrupted, such as the gas supply of steam turbine, which will inevitably increase the exhaust pressure, and it is likely that the blades are broken, causing major accidents.
But at that time, Feng Yuanxi's idea was simple. Why is the price of four blast furnaces higher than that of one steam turbine? Just driven by conscience, Feng Yuanxi did something out of line.
Moreover, if one of them refuses to implement or operates slowly, and the time is prolonged, the vacuum of the steam turbine completely destroys the complementarity of things within one or twenty seconds, then it will be completely changed.
Wuchang Power Plant then sent power to Qingshan Power Plant to restart.
