Since the new century, the goal of Lianyungang Port is to build a 100-million-ton container port, a Shanghai-Qingdao container transport trunk port, a joint port to promote regional economic development, and fully serve the regional development of local and central and western regions. Adhering to the policy of rapid and scientific development in China, the throughput has increased substantially. Container throughput ranks first in Jiangsu, ranking among the top 10 in China and the top 100 in the world, and has jumped into the list of the most competitive ports in China for many times. Pursue the service tenet of "customer first, quality first", establish the business philosophy of "all for customers", serve customers wholeheartedly with efficient, high-quality and preferential loading and unloading transportation, and have won the star list of China Shipping Port for many times to serve five-star ports.
According to the plan, Lianyungang Port will form an overall pattern of "one body and two wings" consisting of Li Anyun main port in the bay, Xu Wei and Guanhe port in the south wing, Ganyu port in the north wing and Qianshan Island port. According to the national economic and social development plan of the hinterland, this paper comprehensively analyzes various related factors affecting the development of port throughput. It is predicted that the throughput of Lianyungang port will reach10.20 billion tons and10.90 billion tons in 2020, of which the container throughput will reach 3.4 million TEUs and 8 million TEUs.
