What's the difference between subsidiaries, branches and business divisions?

A subsidiary is an enterprise controlled or wholly owned by the parent company and an independent legal person. The branch is a subsidiary of the head office, and it is not completely independent in law and economy. The business division is an independent business operation organization established according to the product field, and has no independent legal person status.
