Why did Haikang Life change its name to Tongfang Life?

Frequent changes in equity and executives. China Offshore Oil Investment Holding Company, the Chinese shareholder of Haikang Life Insurance, transferred 50% of its shares in Haikang Life Insurance to Tongfang, and the CIRC approved the transfer. Under the frequent changes of shares and executives, Haikang Life Insurance has officially changed its name to Tongfang Global Life Insurance, which was officially renamed six months after Haikang Life Insurance introduced a new China shareholder, Tsinghua Tongfang. Tongfang Universal Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (formerly Haikang Life Insurance Co., Ltd.) was established by Dutch Universal Life Insurance Group (Aegon) and Tongfang Limited (THTF) with 50% capital contribution respectively. In May 2003, the company officially obtained the business license to conduct life insurance business in China.
