The State Council approved the site of Jinqimen Nuclear Power Station.

Located in a small peninsula at the southernmost tip of Hepu Town, Xiangshan County, Ningbo. The site selection of the project began in 2008. In order to promote the project construction, China Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Energy Group Co., Ltd. jointly invested and established CNNC Zhejiang Energy Co., Ltd. at the beginning of October/October/April.
