Zhejiang University of Finance was founded in 1975, formerly known as Zhejiang Bank School, a national key technical secondary school directly under the head office of China People's Bank. In 2000, it was placed under the management of Zhejiang Province, upgraded to a higher vocational college in June of the same year, and formally established in June of 2002, mainly to train high-quality professionals for the economic and financial industries.
