Why doesn't the United States grow genetically modified wheat?

People who oppose genetically modified foods seem to have reasons and restraint. First, they oppose genetically modified staple foods, and then they oppose other genetically modified crops. They believe that genetically modified soybeans are used to extract oil and soybean meal is used as feed.

Transgenic corn can be used as feed and alcohol production. Wheat and rice are the main foods of human beings and cannot be genetically modified. The United States is a big country with genetically modified crops, and does not grow genetically modified wheat and rice. China has no reason to do so.
