Is Neusoft a state-owned enterprise?

Neusoft Group is not a state-owned enterprise, but a joint venture. On the surface, Neusoft is a private joint-stock enterprise. However, one of Neusoft's shareholders is Northeastern University, which is a state-owned institution of higher learning, so Neusoft Group is a state-owned private joint-stock enterprise.

Neusoft Group was established in 199 1 year and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in June, 1996. At present, it has nearly 20,000 employees. Its predecessor is two companies under Northeastern University, namely Shenyang Dongda Open Software System Co., Ltd. and Shenyang Dongda Alpai Software Co., Ltd., and there are currently 75 subsidiaries with consolidated financial statements.

The largest shareholder of the company is Dalian Neusoft Holding Company, holding 14.02%. The second largest shareholder is Northeastern University Science and Technology Industry Group, holding 7%. Alpine Electronics Co., Ltd., the third largest shareholder, holds 6.33%, Yang Guang, the fourth largest shareholder, holds 2.64% and Alpine Co., Ltd., the fifth largest shareholder, holds 1.6 1%. It is worth noting that Japan Alpai Co., Ltd. holds a total of 7.94%, making it the second largest shareholder.
