According to the current division of labor in Jifu Asia, the Beijing office is responsible for the investment business in North China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Xi and Chengdu. Zhou Zhengning, the only one of the four vice presidents of Jifu Asia China Investment Team, is the chief representative of its Beijing office, while Le Wenyong continues to be the resident representative. Born in Hong Kong, China, Zhou Zhengning holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the Business School of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and has the qualification of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in the United States. Before joining Jifu in 200 1 and 1, Zhou Zhengning worked in Capital Z Asia and Baifuqin Direct Investment Company respectively.
Zhu Jianhuan and Li Yongjin work in the China office of Zagreb Asia. Jifu Asia China Hong Kong Office is mainly responsible for the business in South China, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.
Zhu Jianhuan was born in Guangzhou. 1982 graduated from the chemical engineering department of Zhejiang university with a bachelor's degree in polymer chemical engineering; 1988 received a doctorate in organic materials chemistry from Bordeaux University in France; 1997 received an MBA from McGill University in Canada. 1997 to 2003, Zhu Jianhuan worked in CDP, Canada's largest public pension fund, for six years, mainly responsible for CDP's investment in Canada and China. From the end of 2003 to September 2005, Zhu Jianhuan served as the director of AlterAsiALimited in Hong Kong, and was mainly responsible for managing CDP's private equity investment projects in Asia.
Li Yongjin, which joined Jifu Asia almost at the same time as Zhu Jianhuan, also has rich experience in investing and operating high-tech companies for more than ten years.
"We divide our business in China into two regions, North and South, mainly because Giffordshire pays attention to the investment stage rather than the characteristics of the target market." Chen explained that since Jifu Asia focuses on investing in early and medium-term enterprises, it needs to keep close contact with entrepreneurs and their enterprises. "If we have sufficient resources, maybe Gifford will open offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou like IDGVC."
In fact, many cases can be found in the United States for reference, such as the practice of "dividing North and South" adopted by Gifford in China. Only in the United States, many venture capitalists adopt the practice of "dividing east and west", that is, they set up offices in Boston on the east coast and Silicon Valley on the west coast (even in the middle of the United States) respectively.
