What are the reasons for the independent shareholders' meeting of listed companies?

The independent shareholders of listed companies hold meetings for the following reasons:

1. Shareholders are the investors of the company, that is, the owners of the company, and the shareholders' meeting is the highest authority of the company. The reason why the shareholders' meeting is held is to allow shareholders to have corresponding rights and decide on major issues of the company.

2. Shareholders attend the shareholders' meeting, and each share they hold has one vote. The resolution of the shareholders' meeting must be passed by more than half of the voting rights held by the shareholders present at the meeting.

3. Resolutions made by the shareholders' meeting to amend the Articles of Association, increase or decrease the registered capital, and resolutions on merger, division, dissolution or change of corporate form of the company must be adopted by more than two thirds of the voting rights held by shareholders present at the meeting.
