Brief introduction of levocetirizine

Levocetirizine hydrochloride is the active optical isomer of cetirizine, and it is the third generation antiallergic drug first listed in Germany by UCB Company on 200 1. Compared with cetirizine, it has less dosage and less toxic and side effects, but it inherits the characteristics of cetirizine's rapid onset and strong antiallergic effect. There is little metabolism in the body and less drug interaction. It is an ideal receptor antagonist of H 1, namely cetirizine. It can be used for children over 6 years old, and decarboxylated loratadine can only be used for children over 12 years old.
