Earlier, on May 6 this year, the Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia announced that after full discussion with the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games, it was decided to postpone the 19 Asian Games originally scheduled for September 2022 in Hangzhou, China.
The Organizing Committee of the Hangzhou Asian Games stated that it will make joint efforts with relevant parties under the guidance of the Olympic Council of Asia and the Chinese Olympic Committee, and make comprehensive preparations according to the determined holding date to hold a sports and cultural event with "China characteristics, Zhejiang style, Hangzhou charm and Hangzhou glory".
19 Asian Games is hosted by OCA, with Hangzhou as the host city and Ningbo, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Huzhou Deqing and Shaoxing as the co-host cities. Ningbo Xiangshan Division will hold sailing and beach volleyball.

The emblem of the19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022 was named "Tide Tide". The main graphic consists of six elements: fan, Qiantang River, avatar, track and field, Internet logo and the sun graphic symbolizing the Olympic Council of Asia. Below is the name of the host city and the seal of the year of hosting. These two elements are isomorphic and form a complete symbol of Hangzhou Asian Games.
The fan shape reflects the humanistic meaning of the south of the Yangtze River, the track represents sports competition, the Internet logo fits the characteristics of Hangzhou, and the sun graphic is the symbol of the Olympic Council of Asia. Qiantang River and Qian Jiangchao Head are the image core of the emblem, and the green water and green hills show the natural characteristics of Hangzhou, Zhejiang.
The surging river tide expresses the spiritual temperament of Chinese people in Zhejiang. The image of the entire emblem symbolizes the surging and development of the wave of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and also symbolizes that the Asian Olympic family will join hands, embrace each other tightly and move forward forever.
