Microsoft Li Gang: How does Microsoft play the "cloud" to help digital transformation?

The wave of digital economy is unstoppable. Driven by big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, the global IDC industry has made rapid progress and maintained a double-digit growth momentum every year. At the same time, traditional data centers and traditional enterprises are also facing the problem of digital transformation. But how to do it, where to start, and what kind of strategy is most suitable for your own development?

In this regard, Microsoft, which was established for more than 40 years, has something to say. As an old-fashioned technology company that started with computer operating software, Microsoft has been giving people a young, fashionable and cutting-edge feeling for more than 40 years. It is not that Microsoft has any clever tricks to save face, but that Microsoft has been keeping up with the development trend of the times and constantly transforming and innovating. In the face of new technologies, Microsoft has never been absent, and has been ranked among the top five companies in the world in terms of market value for more than 20 years from 1997.

Li Gang, General Manager of Service Channels and SME Business of Microsoft Omni-Channel Division

At IDCC20 18 conference, Li Gang, general manager of service channel and small and medium-sized enterprise business of Microsoft Omni-channel Division, gave us a wonderful speech with the theme of "The Road to Digital Transformation of Modern Data Center".

He mentioned that Microsoft has been in the top five in the global market value for more than 20 years, benefiting from its continuous transformation.

Li Gang said that in the past two or three decades, Microsoft has been serving traditional enterprises and helping them complete digital transformation. Based on this, Microsoft has carried out internal reorganization and divided its product application into the following four parts:

1. Modern working mode. Represented by Office Windows, it has now achieved "cloudization".

2. Integrate business applications. Including CRM, ERP scenarios, etc.

3. Applications and infrastructure. This part is based on Microsoft's public cloud product Azure.

4. Data and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things are also a direction that Microsoft has invested heavily in.

Through the application of these products, Microsoft can empower enterprises, employees and customers, optimize operations and help transform its business model, which is the general context of Microsoft's transformation in the past four or five years.

In the application of these products, Li Gang pointed out that the public cloud is not only a cloud service product, but also an interconnected world.

At the same time, Li Gang also combed the whole workflow of Microsoft Azure cloud service, and the specific process is as follows:

The specific workflow includes: own product line and customer relationship, business insight, image, social, media, Internet of Things, etc. , collect data through cloud services and the Internet of Things, combine enterprise-level applications, and finally output applications and insights to help enterprises make decisions.

Next, Li Gang focused on Microsoft's Azure stack application market.

Based on the Azure application market, Microsoft currently has 8,000 enterprise applications worldwide. Relying on the Azure application, Microsoft has built its own ecosystem. Details are as follows:

Microsoft has been building the Internet of Things and AI on a global scale. Around this ecosystem, more than 568,000 developers in more than 60 countries around the world use Microsoft cognitive services to develop products.

When it comes to artificial intelligence scenarios, Li Gang said that it covers three major areas: AI applications and intelligent assistants, machine learning and deep learning, and intelligent edge computing.

Li Gang pointed out that it is with the support of these products, technologies and services that it is possible to accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises.

Li Gang emphasized that in terms of business transformation, Microsoft has been actively involved in changing and upgrading the iterative business model with other enterprises, transforming from the original traditional way to a service provider, deeply understanding customer needs, providing all-round services, bringing sustained business growth and generating more profits.

To this end, Microsoft and IDC partners around the world have created an MSP project.

Li Gang pointed out that MSP project can not only provide infrastructure services, but also enhance the enterprise's own capabilities, including business technology capabilities, and develop integrated operation and maintenance capabilities, such as technical capabilities across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services. The Internet of Things and AI strive to achieve productization and service landing on the Microsoft technology platform.

Li Gang emphasized that Microsoft attaches great importance to its partners. For those who are interested in joining the business transformation ahead of schedule, Microsoft will provide a global support plan in terms of differentiated rights, customer resource support, sales acceleration, business development, technical support training and so on.

Li Gang said frankly that everyone may think that Microsoft is everywhere, but in fact, Microsoft is not a pure consumer brand. Every technical strategy of Microsoft is to serve corporate customers through partners.

Li Gang said that Microsoft serves many customers through cross-selling among its partners. Along this cycle, Microsoft is constantly building its own partner ecosystem around the world.

Finally, Li Gang once again stressed that Microsoft's mission is to devote itself to everyone and every organization in the world and make extraordinary achievements! He hopes to establish such an ecosystem with all partners to help enterprises transform digitally and further expand sustainability.

The above is Li Gang's wonderful speech on "The Road to Digital Transformation of Modern Data Center". IDCC20 18 has come to a successful conclusion, contributing a different audio-visual feast to IDC industry. I hope everyone will look forward to more exciting IDCC20 19, just in February of 20 19, 165438. At that time, we will be there or be square!
