Brief introduction of Guangzhou Wharf:

Guangzhou is divided into inner port and outer port. 1986 used to be Guangzhou Port Authority (under the jurisdiction of inner port) and Huangpu Port Authority (under the jurisdiction of outer port). 1987, due to the development of Guangzhou, Guangzhou Port Authority and Huangpu Port Authority merged, collectively known as Guangzhou Port Authority.

Today's Guangzhou inner port mainly refers to the small docks in Xinfeng, Jiaoxin, Zhoutouzui and Fangcun. At present, these terminals mainly handle imported goods, but relatively few export goods. Barge companies often transport dismantled containers back to Hong Kong by barge or back to Huangpu Port for standby in the form of trailer clearance, because Guangzhou Inner Port is under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Customs.

Huangpu Port Area is located in the east of Guangzhou, where the Pearl River and Dongjiang River meet. As the administrative area is Huangpu District, Guangzhou, people naturally call Huangpu's wharf Huangpu Port. There are 13 wharves in Huangpu District, 7 of which are located in Laogang Port Area and 6 in Xingang Port Area (Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone). The seven wharves distributed in Huangpu Laogang Port Area are: Yongye Wharf, Kerry Wharf and Jiugang Wharf from west to east; Wuchongkou wharf; Guangyu Wharf; Miaotou Wharf; Jianxiang Wharf; These docks are under the jurisdiction of Huangpu Old Port Customs. Among them, Laogang Wharf is owned by Guangzhou Port Authority, Wuyongkou Wharf is owned by Sinotrans, Guangyu Wharf is owned by COSCO Group, and other docks are more or less privately owned. As for the six wharves in Huangpu New Port Area, they extend to Dongjiang at the intersection of Dongjiang and Pearl River. From bottom to top, the docks are Keith Wharf, Dongjiang Warehouse Wharf, Suigang Wharf, Quantong Wharf, Hong Kong and Macao Wharf and Guangbaotong Wharf. In the mid-term, Suigang Wharf is under the jurisdiction of the customs of the Development Zone; Guangbaotong Wharf is under the customs jurisdiction of the bonded area; The other four docks are under the jurisdiction of Huangpu New Port Customs. In addition, Keith Wharf is now a joint venture between Guangzhou Port Authority and Singapore Port Authority, and Dongjiang Warehouse is owned by Sinotrans. Suigang Wharf is a dual-purpose passenger and cargo wharf, with direct passenger ship service to Hong Kong. The customs of development zone and bonded area are both subordinate to Huangpu Xingang Customs, but the terminals under their jurisdiction cannot directly declare the import and export of goods to Huangpu Xingang Customs. Huangpu old port customs and Huangpu new port customs are enough to form Huangpu customs area. The trailer in the customs area is free and does not need to be transferred to customs, but as long as it enters the dock under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Customs, it must be transferred to customs.

Only three whampoa 13 wharves have through railways, which can be built in wharves, namely Kerry Wharf of Old Port, Grand Wharf of Old Port and Keith Wharf of Huangpu New Port. Other terminals do not provide the service of changing trains in the terminal.

The design water depth of Nansha New Port Wharf is-17m, and the current water depth is-14m. 5 meters, the width of the harbor basin is 600 meters; Shipping companies such as Maersk, COSCO and China Shipping all hold shares. It is also worth mentioning that the new Nansha Port belongs to Guangzhou Customs. Please pay special attention when distributing export goods.
