19 13, Fitch International was founded by John K. Fitch, 1997, acquired British IBCA Company, and in 2000, acquired Duff &; Phelps and Thomson Bank Watch. Today, 97% of the company's shares are controlled by France's FIMALAC company. Hearst acquired a 20% stake in Fitch Group in 2006.
