Liupanshui, also known as Du Liang, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is located in Wumeng Mountain in western Guizhou, at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, and on both sides of the Nanpanjiang and Beipanjiang river basins. It is one of the important railway hub cities and logistics distribution centers in southwest China.
Liupanshui has a cool, comfortable, humid and fresh climate with moderate ultraviolet radiation. Awarded the title of "Du Liang, China" by China Meteorological Society, China is a city named after its climate characteristics. Liupanshui has a long history and was a territorial country in the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States period, the city was the territory of Yelang State. After the Qin Dynasty unified China, it belonged to Hanyang County and Ba County.
Climate.
The city belongs to the north subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, which is influenced by low latitude and high altitude. It is warm in winter and cool in summer and has a pleasant climate. Annual average temperature 13 ~ 14℃, monthly average temperature 13 ~ 6.3℃, and July average temperature 19.8 ~ 22℃. The annual precipitation is 1200 to1500mm.
The frost-free period is 200 to 300 days. Due to the large terrain fluctuation, the climate difference in some areas is obvious. The city's total water volume is about1421800 million cubic meters, of which the average annual flow of surface water is 6.4 billion cubic meters, the average annual flow of underground water is 5.268 billion cubic meters, and the surface water (excluding river water) is 2.55 billion cubic meters.
