"7-ELEVEn" is a brand founded by American Southern Company, but it was later carried forward in Japan by Ito Yokado Co., Ltd., a franchisee, and then it acquired American Southern Company and gained control of the "7-ELEVEn" brand.
The origin of the name
Originally, this store was called "Totem Store", and the totem pole placed next to the store became the symbol of convenience store. Since the store is open from 7: 00 a.m. to 0: 00 p.m., 1 1946, Southern Continental Company officially renamed the totem store as 7-Eleven, which really kicked off the convenience store era. At present, 7-Eleven stores cover 16 countries and regions around the world.
