Classification of leasing companies

Classification by occupation: mainly divided into professional leasing companies and non-professional leasing companies. Non-professional leasing companies generally do not give priority to leasing, but there are leasing matters within their business scope. For example, trust and investment companies, finance companies, financial property disposal companies, vendor leasing, strategic investment institutions, etc. There are also some occupations with leasing nature, but they are not classified as leasing occupations, such as tourism, real estate, transportation and other industries with short-term use, which have become another system and are not classified according to leasing.

Classification by nature: there are mainly special leasing companies, which mainly deal in special leasing items and belong to a professional leasing company; Manufacturers lease and use leasing to promote their own products; Financial leasing, a leasing company with certain financial rights, uses the advantages of funds to launch large-scale leasing projects; Sino-foreign joint venture leasing companies mainly use foreign capital and introduce foreign advanced equipment; Strategic investment leasing companies, some large enterprises, group companies or consortia use the characteristics of leasing to organize group finance and give play to induced benefits; Property handling leasing companies, handling property by leasing, revitalizing shelved property, and reforming the state-owned enterprise system; Consulting leasing companies provide leasing skills consulting services, organize, plan and package leasing projects and network leasing.

Classification by region: local leasing companies only carry out leasing affairs within a certain geographical scope. National leasing companies can carry out leasing affairs nationwide.

Classified by domestic and foreign affairs: world leasing companies that have the right to operate foreign trade and foreign exchange affairs and can carry out foreign-related leasing; Domestic leasing companies that have no right to engage in foreign trade and foreign exchange affairs, but can only engage in leasing affairs in China. At present, the right to operate foreign trade has changed from the examination and approval system to the filing system. Enterprises with a registered capital of more than 6,543,800,000 yuan may apply for the right to operate foreign trade.

Classification by franchise: leasing companies that can operate financial leasing and leasing services, generally referred to as financial leasing companies or financial leasing companies; Only leasing companies that are allowed to operate traditional leasing business are usually called leasing companies without ownership.

According to the classification of financial rights: financial leasing companies can use financial means to raise funds; Non-financing leasing companies can only rely on equity funds or loans to solve the source of funds. At present, the finance of financial leasing companies has also been cancelled. Financial leasing companies are first of all financial leasing companies with financial institutions as their main shareholders.

Classification by property: physical leasing companies, companies that carry out leasing affairs with fixed property as the leasing object; Non-physical leasing company, a company that provides intangible property such as leasing skills, services or property disposal to start leasing business.

Classification by share capital: domestic leasing companies and Sino-foreign joint venture leasing companies, and wholly foreign-owned leasing companies.

Hybrid leasing company: a leasing company that can handle all or part of the above leasing affairs, usually a large professional leasing company.
