What are the main marine aquatic products in China?

1. Fishing ground in Bohai Sea

Located in the north of China, the Bohai Sea is an inland sea surrounded by land on three sides. The southeast is connected with the Yellow Sea through the Bohai Strait, with a total area of over 77,000 square kilometers and an average water depth of18m. Liaodong Bay, Bohai Bay and Laizhou Bay, where Liaohe River, Luanhe River, Haihe River and Yellow River flow in, bring a lot of sediment and organic matter, make the coastal plankton rich and natural bait rich, and become a natural spawning ground and an important fishing ground for fish. There are more than 70 kinds of common fish, including shrimp, crab, shellfish and algae, totaling 170 kinds. The main aquatic products are small yellow croaker, hairtail, catfish, prawn, hairy shrimp and sea crab. The shallow sea and gentle slope of Bohai Sea have great potential for aquaculture development, but the resources are decreasing day by day due to over-concentrated fishing and pollution.

2. Fishing grounds in the Yellow Sea

The Yellow Sea is located in the north of the connecting line from the north corner of the Yangtze River estuary to the west corner of Jeju Island and east of the Bohai Sea, with an area five times that of the Bohai Sea and an average water depth of 44 meters, all of which belong to the shallow continental shelf. There are more than 200 species of fish, which is the only sea area in China where cold-water cod is distributed. The main economic fish are yellow croaker, hairtail, squid, cod, squid and catfish. Aquatic resources in the Yellow Sea are also decreasing, and measures have been taken to prohibit overfishing and protect resources.

3. Donghai Fishing Ground

The East China Sea includes the vast sea area north of the line from Nan 'ao Island in Guangdong Province to E 'uanbi in Tainan and south of the Yellow Sea. Its area is twice that of the Yellow Sea. Located in the subtropical zone, it is a transitional zone between tropical and temperate zones, so there are both fish in the north and south, mainly temperate species, with more than 700 species. The East China Sea is the largest marine fishery producing area in China, mainly producing hairtail, large yellow croaker, small yellow croaker and cuttlefish, and has built important fishing ports such as Shanghai, Zhoushan, Ningbo, Zhenjiang, Wenzhou, Zhenhai, Mawei and Xiamen. Zhoushan Fishing Ground in Zhejiang Province is the largest marine fishery base in China, and the number of economic fish accounts for about 1/2 of the whole country.

4. Fishing grounds in the South China Sea

The area of the South China Sea is more than three times that of the East China Sea in China. It is shallow around and deep in the middle. It is a deep-sea basin with a vast sea area, and it is the second largest producer of marine aquatic products in China. There are many kinds of fish, such as orchids, sardines and sea snakes. , with high economic value, but also rich in tuna and sharks and other marine fish. Turtles, sea cucumbers and hawksbill are the specialties of the South China Sea.
