The predecessor of jiangyou city Hong Fei Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., jiangyou city State-owned Assets Management Investment Co., Ltd. is a wholly state-owned company approved by Mianyang Municipal People's Government Office according to the Reply on Agreeing to Establish jiangyou city State-owned Assets Management Investment Co., Ltd., and registered in jiangyou city Administration for Industry and Commerce on February 2, 2003.
In May 2005, the company name was changed to jiangyou city Hong Fei State-owned Assets Management and Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., and in April 2007, the company name was changed to jiangyou city Hong Fei Investment (Group) Co., Ltd.
