Ltd and limited company (note the dot and separator) both mean limited company, which is the abbreviation of joint stock limited company. Limited company is widely used in China, and the international standard is called limited company for short.
Extended data
Ltd comes from the word limited, which means "limited" in English. However, for hundreds of years, limited companies in English-speaking countries in Europe and America have omitted co and ended directly with Ltd. Therefore, the English name of international limited companies is called Ltd for short. For example, in Britain, Ltd is basically used, rarely Inc. In the United States, Ltd and lnc coexist.
Limited is a subset of Asia Limited, which is widely used in Chinese mainland and Indian regions. But no matter in Europe, America or Asia (including China), the English names of companies don't end in CO, so, just like Alibaba, companies in China end in limited companies, and companies listed in the United States end in limited companies.
