According to the cross-strait shipping agreement, the two sides agreed to open the main ports to each other as direct ports, and the ships registered by both sides can engage in direct passenger and cargo transportation between the two sides with permission. According to the agreement, starting from 12 and 15, 74 ports will be opened on both sides of the strait, including 63 mainland ports, including 48 seaports such as Dalian, Yingkou and Beihai, and 15 river ports such as Taizhou, Taicang and Zhangjiagang. Taiwan Province Province has opened 1 1 ports, including 6 ports in Keelung (including Taipei), Kaohsiung (including Anping) and Taichung, and 5 "mini three links" ports in Jinmen, such as Liaoluo, Shuitou, Mazu Fuao, Baisha and Penghu Magong. Prior to this, Taizhou's cargo transportation to Taiwan was sent to Shanghai Port through Taizhou Port, and then it was approved by Hong Kong, Singapore and other ports, and the relevant documents were exchanged before it could enter Taiwan Province Province. Taizhou Port is included in the list of 63 direct ports, which means that after the shipping cut between Taizhou and Taiwan Province Province is straightened out, it will not only save freight, but also greatly save freight time.
