Yao Yingxue's personal profile

Yao Yingxue, male, Han nationality, born in 1962. Professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, and concurrently director of the Discipline Construction Office of Harbin Institute of Technology. In September 1990, he graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology and received his doctorate. He has been working in the school since graduation. He has studied and worked at the University of Warwick in the UK and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a winner of the China Youth Science and Technology Award, the National Outstanding Teacher, the Ministry of Education’s University Outstanding Young Teacher Award Program, the Cross-Century Excellent Talent Training Program and the Heilongjiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund. Member of the International Society for Production Engineering (CIRP), Vice Chairman of the China Mechanical Industry Metal Cutting Tool Association, Vice Chairman of the Cutting Advanced Technology Research Branch of the Chinese Knife Association, Executive Director of the Production Engineering Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Executive Director of the Heilongjiang Tool Association, " J. of Advanced Manufacturing Technology" and other 3 international academic journals; and 5 domestic academic journals including "Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology".

Currently, he is mainly engaged in research on cutting processing theory and technology, digital manufacturing theory and technology, processing process automation technology, superhard cutting tools, and new energy equipment design and manufacturing. In recent years, he has been responsible for and participated in the completion of more than 30 scientific research projects, including 3 National Natural Science Foundation-funded projects, 5 national defense basic scientific research projects, and 5 General Armament Department projects. He has won 1 first-class and 3 second-class provincial natural science awards; obtained 8 national invention patent authorizations; edited/co-edited 3 textbooks; and has published more than 180 high-level scientific research papers.
