U shield is a customer certificate USBkey issued by ICBC, which has obtained national patent. It is an advanced security tool for electronic banking provided by ICBC.
U-Shield is built with a micro smart card processor, which encrypts, decrypts and digitally signs the transaction data of e-banking through digital certificates, ensuring the confidentiality, non-tampering and uniqueness of identity authentication of e-banking transactions.
U-Shield can be connected to computer through USB interface, and universal U-Shield can also be connected to mobile devices such as mobile phones through audio interface.
Applicable object
For e-banking customers with high security requirements, it is recommended that you use U shield. If you need to use a U shield on mobile devices such as mobile phones, please apply for a universal U shield.

Risk warning
1. In order to use electronic banking more safely, please protect the U shield and its password. When conducting e-banking transactions, ensure the safety and reliability of computers, mobile phones and other equipment, update anti-virus software regularly, download patches in time, do not open unknown programs, links, emails and web pages, do not download and install software at will, maintain good online habits, and remove the U shield from the equipment in time after use.
2. If you use the second-generation U shield, please carefully check the transaction information echoed on the display screen and press the "Confirm" button after confirmation.
Matters needing attention
Service period of 1 The U-shield certificate file shall be kept for five years. One month before the service expires, ICBC's electronic banking system will prompt you to renew the certificate to extend the service period of the certificate. You can update the certificate by yourself through the function of "U Shield Management -U Shield Self-Update" in personal online banking.
2. If you accidentally lose the U shield, to ensure the safety of your funds, please immediately apply to ICBC outlets for freezing the U shield. If you confirm that the U shield has been lost, you can apply for a replacement certificate. After the application takes effect, you can download the certificate information again according to the original method of using U shield, or ask the bank teller to help you complete the operation.
3. After applying for U-Shield, you can use the supporting certificate tool software to modify the certificate password, or you can log in to personal online banking and modify the certificate password in "U-Shield Management -U-Shield Password Update".
4. If you forget your U-Shield password during use, you can bring your U-Shield, registration card and your valid ID card to ICBC outlets to reset your password. If you enter the U shield password incorrectly for more than six consecutive times when using online banking, the system will lock the certificate. You also need to bring your U shield, registration card and your valid ID card to ICBC outlets for password reset.
5. When you download the certificate, you may quit because of some external reasons (such as sudden power failure) without successfully downloading the certificate. In this case, you can log in to the customer service bar again and use this function to download the certificate. If the system prompts an error when downloading the certificate again, please send a text message to 95588, call 95588 or consult a professional at a bank outlet.
6. Under VISTA system, you can use U shield for transaction verification, and certificate update and certificate download are not supported for the time being.
