Yes.
According to Article 11 of the Patent Law, product patentees enjoy the right to manufacture, use, sell, promise to sell and import. The key to determine whether there is infringement is whether the product is used for production and business purposes without permission. Obviously, gifts do not have this purpose and are not enough to constitute patent infringement.
Methods to check whether fonts are infringing:
The first method: check whether other people’s fonts can be used for free commercial use.
1. Open the Google Chrome browser and enter “360 Check Fonts” to search the web. This is an online tool to check whether fonts can be commercially used;
2. Click on “360 Check Fonts” After "Font", it will automatically retrieve the fonts installed locally on your computer and determine whether each font is commercially available;
3. It is not limited to the detection of fonts installed locally on your computer, you can also click "Search Fonts" , search to see if other fonts you want to check are commercially available;
Second: Check whether the fonts you designed are similar to other people's fonts.
1. Enter "font recognition" in the Google Chrome browser and search the web; there will be many websites with the font recognition function in the search results, let's choose a suitable one;
2. Click "Upload Image", then select the font image we designed locally on the computer, and click "Open" to upload the font to the website;
3. Continue Click the small box below the image preview, enter characters in it, and then click "Start Recognition";
After the recognition is completed, fonts similar to the font will be listed at the bottom of the webpage, and there will also be Detect the similarity between the font of the picture just uploaded and the font. We can design and adjust the font according to the specific situation.
Note: Since there are currently no clear regulations on the degree of font similarity that counts as infringement, this is more of a reference for us, allowing us to try our best when designing fonts. The design should be clearly different from others.
