From a national point of view, the Patent Office is a department under China National Intellectual Property Administration, which specializes in managing patent applications and other affairs. From all parts of the country, the management of patent affairs is basically the Intellectual Property Office, and there is no patent office. To apply for a patent, you can go to a local intermediary agency or the nearest patent agency (China National Intellectual Property Administration is located in various places, usually in provincial capitals).
