Honeycomb Energy, formerly known as Great Wall Motor Power Battery Division, began to develop power batteries on 20 12, and was independently developed from Great Wall Motor on 20 18, and renamed as Honeycomb Energy.
After independent development, Honeycomb Energy successively raised funds and signed an agreement with the government. In June last year, Honeycomb Energy raised 654.38 billion yuan. In February this year, an investment agreement was formally signed with Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, to establish a new power battery production base in South Taihu New District, Huzhou.
In terms of product planning, in May last year, Honeycomb Energy officially released the world's first cobalt-free lithium nickel manganate battery based on cobalt-free cathode materials, which made innovations and breakthroughs in materials, processes and package design, making the battery safer, longer in life and lower in cost.
At the Beijing Auto Show last September, Honeycomb Energy released the cobalt-free battery and its future product planning. It will launch platform E and platform H, and its products will cover vehicles ranging from 300 km to 800 km. The future batteries will be installed on the related vehicles of the Great Wall. At the same time, cobalt-free batteries and matrix batteries will also be officially unveiled, and their soft HEV batteries, cylindrical batteries and energy storage products will also be unveiled at the 20021CIBF battery exhibition.
