History?

1972, maxwell atchisson, an American gun designer, developed a fully automatic shotgun with a lead bullet diameter of 12, but the gun has never been interested. Forced to make a living, in 1987, he sold the patent and all the drawings of AA- 12 to Jerry Baber's military police system company (MPS) in Pinefalk, Tennessee.

Since then, the designers of MPS Company have spent 18 years on redesign and development after work, during which 188 parts of the original blueprint need to be modified and improved. Finally, before the autumn of 2004, the prototype gun 10 was successfully developed and renamed as automatic assault 12 shotgun. MPS also cooperates with mobile manufacturing companies.

And special bullet company, trying to develop FRAG- 12 high explosive powder, combined with this automatic shotgun into a multi-functional weapon system. The weight of the AA- 12 automatic shotgun of Gendarmerie Systems Company was reduced to 4.76kg, and shortened to 966mm (38 inches), which made AA- 12 more compact, but still kept the same barrel length.

The close combat type is equipped with a 330 mm barrel, which is 0.5 pound lighter than the 457 mm ordinary type. Different from other automatic shotguns, this AA- 12 uses shooting, which can be common in submachine guns, heavy machine guns and squad machine guns.

It uses 8 detachable magazines, 20 detachable drums or 32 detachable drums as ammunition supply instead of the original 5 detachable magazines. The fixing method of the ammunition feeder is similar to that of thompson submachine gun. There are two locating grooves at the back of the ammunition feeder, which correspond to the two locating grooves at the front of the grip holder.

The magazine release button is located on the right side of the trigger holder. Just press the release button with your index finger and take out the magazine. Because it uses a lot of stainless steel to make and design internal gaps to prevent dust accumulation, Gendarmerie Systems Company once claimed that this weapon does not need cleaning or lubrication. However, the designer has pointed out that cleaning is not needed until 10000 bullets are fired.

AA- 12 can use different kinds of 3-inch 12 lead shotgun Magnon ammunition, such as deer bullets, heavy warheads, and even non-lethal rubber stun baton bullets. Like many 12 lead-diameter shotguns, it can also fire flares, signal flares and special FRAG- 12 high-explosive series. ?

The latter includes 19mm tail stabilized high explosive (he), armor-piercing projectile (HEAP) and "air-exploded" fragment projectile (HEAB) that can be detonated in mid-air.
