1. Background of establishment

On August 26, 1980, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone was established. It is located in Area A of Shenzhen Civic Center. The construction land is 12,500 square meters and the construction area is 33,600 square meters. It was completed and opened in December 2008. The exhibition building has 3 floors, including 5 basic displays and 2 special exhibition halls, with an exhibition area of ??more than 10,000 square meters. The underground floor is a cultural relics warehouse. 3. Dongjiang Guerrilla Headquarters Former Site Memorial Hall

The old site is a Shenzhen municipal cultural relic protection unit. It was placed under the management of the Shenzhen Museum in 2012. It was renovated and opened to the public in December 2017.

3. Establishment and Functions

The Shenzhen Museum is a public welfare unit fully funded by the municipal finance and affiliated to the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau. In November 2004, the archaeological team became independent from the museum and established the Shenzhen Cultural Relics and Archaeological Appraisal Institute as an independent legal entity.
