What is secondary optics?

Secondary optics refers to the part of the lamp that achieves the ideal lighting effect through the treatment of mirrors, lenses and hoods in addition to the lighting effect of the light source itself.

Secondary optical system

Application number/patent number: 200910193461

The invention provides an optical system with secondary auxiliary function, which comprises a long-line light guide element, a radial surface of which can emit light beams; A light pipe is composed of a tube body with refractive ability, and its inner circular surface is an inner circular incident surface. The inner circular incident surface is a hollow pipe in the cross section to provide the pivoting of the light guide element, and the optical layer is closely combined with the outer surface of the tube body to form an optical interface with refractive and reflective ability. The invention use a flexible refraction light pipe, and that hollow pipe provides the pivot of the flexible light guide element. Through the forward reflection of the light pipe, the transmission distance of the system beam is increased, and the beam escaping due to optical decoration is suppressed and saturated, and finally a highly uniform divergence can be formed.
