What is the difference between Merida TFS and HFS frames?

They are all Merida patents, TFS, Techo molding systems, nominally mechanical molding technology, and to put it bluntly, it is a low-end imitation version of HFS.

There are two kinds of TFS frames, one is full TFS, the new challenger 300, the old challenger 320, 350, 500, 650, 700, 800 are full TFS, and the other is semi-TFS, the difference is that there is no elastic rear fork (frog leg).

HFS (Hydroforming System) is actually the same as liquid film injection of giant XTC. The original aluminum tube is put into the mold, and ultra-high pressure hydraulic oil is injected into the tube, so that the aluminum tube is evenly unfolded and molded by fitting the mold.

The new challengers 600,700,800 and 850 are the kings of HFS, HFS and HFS Merida aluminum cars. The weight of the best HFS frame can be controlled at 1.5 kg Niu B, which is equivalent to many carbon fiber frames.

TFS costs about 1000, China HFS costs about 1900, and the European version costs about 2200. TFS stands for new equipment, fully automatic robot welding frame. HFS is hand welded.
