Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is the only geophysical method to find water directly in the world. In the mid-1990s, BRGM, the French Geological Survey, transferred the patented achievements of nuclear magnetic resonance water exploration technology, which had been studied by the Soviet Union for decades, to IRISInstruments. For more than ten years, the nuclear magnetic resonance water finder of French IRIS company has been verified by a large number of field data in more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and its ideal application effect makes it the only mature geophysical instrument with commercial nuclear magnetic resonance technology. Since the first generation of nuclear magnetic resonance water exploration system 1996 came into being, it has been greatly improved and perfected in detection depth, signal-to-noise ratio and suitability for field work.
