The research was introduced by Mengniu and TATUA Company, a New Zealand dairy research and development institution, and has been used in the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan Province Province of China and other countries and regions for many years. MBP has obtained a number of authoritative certifications, including GRAS (Recognized Safety) certification of US FDA and food safety certification of New Zealand Agriculture and Forestry Bureau. The certification number in the FDA list of safe substances (as of June 29th, 2007) is GRN No 196. The US Food and Drug Administration stipulates that MBP can be used in food, and there is no limit on its dosage.
