Difference between on-line moisture meter and off-line (laboratory) moisture meter

On-line moisture meter is mainly used for materials that cannot be sampled and detected, such as conveyor belts and trucks, or need to monitor moisture in real time. On-line moisture meter has continuity, but its accuracy is not high, its installation is complicated and its price is expensive.

Laboratory moisture meters mainly include halogen moisture meter and Karl Fischer moisture meter, both of which are sampled and tested in the laboratory and have the advantages of high precision and good stability. Halogen moisture meter is a physical testing method, which adopts loss on drying method, with short testing time and high accuracy, and is suitable for moisture determination of various solid, block, particle, sheet and other materials. Karl Fischer moisture meter is a chemical detection method, which uses the principle of international standard Karl Fischer method to calculate moisture by the electricity consumed by the reaction of moisture with Karl Fischer reagent, and the accuracy can be as high as 1ppm, so it is the first choice for detecting trace moisture. We are now using Akrid Karl Fischer moisture meter, which is very simple to operate and the accuracy of the test results is guaranteed.
