The following points can support my point of view:
1. Both men and women will "pretend": "Pretending" is not a patent for women to gain their own interests or achieve their own goals. Both men and women may choose certain behaviors or clothes to express themselves or help them achieve their expected goals. Therefore, "dressing" can not be described as a phenomenon only for women.
2. Diversity of women: Women are a diverse group, and everyone has their own ideas and personalities. We can't think that all women are "pretending". Women can express themselves in different ways, and some women may express their views or personalities by dressing up.
3. Motivation to motivate "pretending" behavior: Perhaps in the same situation, others may think that women are "pretending", but women's motivation may not be "pretending", but out of self-protection, expressing their own personality or meeting their own needs. The label imposed on women's "dress" will make people ignore these potential motives and internal needs, resulting in unfair evaluation.
4. The role of social influence: social stereotypes and prejudices about gender will also have an impact on women's behavior. Women are often described as petite, weak and in need of protection, so that some women may choose to "pretend" to protect themselves and avoid being regarded as weak. This is not to say that they have no expressive ability at all, but social concepts and stereotypes.
As an act, "pretending" may have different motives. In any case, we can't generalize women into a certain type or role. We must respect women's individuality and diversity and avoid preconceived prejudices and outdated social labels.
