What are the causes and preventive measures for concrete crusting (peeling)?

The reasons for peeling on the concrete surface are as follows:

1. The peeling on the concrete surface is mainly due to the accumulation of water on the surface in the early stage of concrete setting. If it is the bottom plate, it is probably because the water in the foundation pit has not been removed. When the concrete was poured, this water flooded to the upper side, causing water accumulation on the surface;

2. It may be due to the excessive water-cement ratio of the concrete. It may be caused by random sprinkling of water when pouring concrete. This phenomenon is very common. If the surface is uneven, excess water will accumulate in low-lying areas, causing the surface to peel;

3. It may be If soaked in water too early (watering or raining), the surface will easily peel. In this case, it mainly depends on whether there is a problem with the strength of the concrete. If the strength of the concrete reaches the specified requirements, only surface treatment can be performed. If there is a problem with the strength of the concrete, it is a different matter.
