Zhang Yigong's research achievements

He presided over and participated in the first domestic 1 kVA/38V SVG experimental device, microcomputer control system of HVDC transmission simulation device, series products of harmonic analyzer, active filter (APF) device and SVC for power grid operation, and the four-quadrant converter experimental device for superconducting energy storage system, and won ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards. As the project leader, he presided over the project of "Research and Design of New Magnetic Bias Arc Suppression Control Technology"; As the main researcher, he participated in the project of "SCR reactive power supply" (SVG: static var generator) and developed a 1 kVA/38 V experimental device, which was the first SVG device in China (1986).
