Does the patent applicant have to be the patentee?
After the patent examination procedure, if there is no reason for rejection, that is, the patent application meets the formal and substantive conditions for granting a patent right, the Patent Office will grant a patent according to law, and the patent applicant in the application procedure is the authorized patentee. Of course, the patentee is not immutable. During the patent protection period, if the patent right is transferred, inherited or donated according to law, the patent right shall be transferred to the successor, who is the patentee, not the patent applicant.
