Can a water purifier remove scale?

Water purifiers can remove scale. The key to the water purification effect of a water purifier is the filter element. The filter element of the ultrafiltration water purifier that filters impurities is an ultrafiltration membrane, which can only filter bacteria, rust, and particulate matter in the water. The filtered water retains the original mineral content in the water, and the minerals include water alkali.

Water purifiers can be divided into two categories: progressive water purifiers and self-cleaning water purifiers according to pipeline design levels. The traditional water purifier is a gradually tightening water purifier. Its internal pipeline is designed to loosen the filter element in the front and tighten it in the rear. It is composed of PP melt-blown filter element, granular carbon, compressed carbon, RO reverse osmosis membrane or ultrafiltration membrane, and post-activated carbon. Generally, It is composed of these 5 levels connected end to end.

The retained material is deposited inside the filter element and needs to be manually removed and cleaned regularly to ensure the normal operation of the machine. The other type is a more advanced self-cleaning water purifier. There are two channels designed in the machine, and a washing water channel is added. When the washing water used as ordinary domestic water passes through the channel, it will damage the filter element in the machine, especially the raw water of the membrane filter element. The side functions as a wash to achieve self-cleaning.

And the water that flows out of the head and tail sections at the moment when the washing faucet is opened and closed is used to promptly and quickly discharge the trapped dirt. The reasonable design of this structure saves the trouble of manual disassembly and washing. It avoids re-contamination of the institution itself and at the same time reduces energy consumption costs.

Extended information

Working principle:

First level: PP cotton: removes various visible objects/dust and impurities in tap water.

Second and third levels: Pre-activated carbon: The third level of some low-end water purifiers is also made of PP cotton, and the carbon removes chlorine and organic impurities. It also absorbs odors, colors and odors caused by organic compounds in the water.

Level 4: Ultrafiltration or reverse osmosis membrane: The membrane can remove bacteria, viruses, spores and other substances in the water.

Level 5: Post-activated carbon device: further improves the taste and removes odor.

Most water purifiers adopt a progressive structure based on the screen filter principle. They are composed of multi-stage filter elements connected in series from end to end. The precision of the filter elements is arranged in order from low to high to achieve shared interception by the multi-stage filter elements. Dirt, thereby reducing filter element clogging, manual drainage, the number of disassembly and cleaning, and extending the filter element replacement cycle.

There is also a new design idea that uses the principle of mass distribution and self-cleaning structure. Its design idea is no longer to provide as much space as possible for storing dirt and evil, but to adopt a separation method. Based on the principle of water quality, a small part of clean water is separated, and at the same time, the raw water is allowed to circulate as usual as much as possible, so that the dirt is taken away in time with the water flow, so that the running water does not rot.
