How to classify patent pools?

Patent pool can be divided into open patent pool and closed patent pool according to whether it is licensed to the outside world. Members of the open patent pool cross-authorize each other with their own patents, and the external patent pool is uniformly licensed.

A closed patent pool is only cross-licensed among internal members of the patent pool, and is not uniformly licensed externally.

Open patent pool is the mainstream of modern patent pool, and its external licensing method is usually one-stop packaging licensing, that is, all necessary patents are bundled together for external licensing, and generally a unified licensing fee standard is adopted, and the licensing fee income is distributed according to the proportion of the number of necessary patents held by each member.
