Nezha Auto and Infineon announced technical cooperation on BMS scheme for electric vehicles.

BMS battery management system is the "brain" of the battery and one of the core technologies of the new energy automobile industry. Infineon Technologies, an automotive semiconductor supplier, recently announced that it will cooperate with Nezha Automotive on the overall solution of battery management for electric vehicles.

It is reported that the BMS system-level solutions jointly developed by the two parties include Tiangong Battery jointly developed by Nezha Automobile and Infineon AURIX. Microcontrollers, 12 channel AFE, power management chips and other products meet the system functional safety requirements of ASIL D, and can provide more integrated, more accurate, safer and more stable battery management strategies, thus further optimizing the power and economy of the electronic control system of new energy vehicles. While improving the cruising range and enhancing the battery safety protection ability, it can also greatly reduce the research and development time and procurement cost.

With this cooperation, Nezha Auto has become the world's first cooperative brand of new energy vehicles, and the overall solution of Infineon BMS.

Cao, Senior Vice President of Infineon Technology Greater China and Head of Automotive Electronics Division, said that last year, Infineon delivered billions of vehicle gauge devices, which is the best endorsement of Infineon's product quality. "The cooperation with Nezha Automobile in battery management application has combined the advantages of both parties in power battery and semiconductor technology, and achieved new breakthroughs, which is of great significance to Infineon's new energy vehicle business in Greater China."
