1. Razor

In 1828, Sheffield made a blade with one side protected, which was the predecessor of the safety blade. In 1895, Gillette, an American salesman, met inventor Painter by chance. He wanted to make a lot of money and invent something that everyone needed and could be used once.

One day, Gillette was shaving and found that the razor blade was just right for this idea. He designed a safety razor holding handle, but couldn't find a manufacturer that could make a thin blade. It was not until 1901 that he met the machinist Carson, who solved the technical problem, integrated the hoe-shaped tool holder with the double-edged replaceable blade, and applied for a patent.

As early as 1900, the electric shaver had been patented in the United States, but the first electric shaver suitable for commercial manufacturing was designed by retired U.S. Army Colonel Hick and patented in 1928 Patented.

2. Bamboo slips

In the late Spring and Autumn Period, people began to use bamboo slips. People cut bamboo slips into pieces, then strung them together with ropes, and then wrote words on these bamboo boards, which became the first books. According to records, during the Western Han Dynasty, Dongfang Shuo wrote a letter to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, using more than 3,000 bamboo slips, and it took two strong warriors to barely lift it. It took Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty two months to read this letter.

3. Raincoat

In 1747, French engineer Francois Freno made the world's earliest raincoat. He used latex obtained from rubber wood and dipped his cloth shoes and coats into the latex solution to make them waterproof.

McIntosh, who works in a Scottish rubber factory, is in a difficult situation and cannot afford to buy rain gear. He has to commute to get off work in the rain every rainy day. One day, he accidentally stained his clothes with rubber juice and couldn't wipe it off, so he had to go home wearing the dirty clothes. It was raining outside, but McIntosh came home and was pleasantly surprised to find that the clothes he was wearing were not wet at all. He simply smeared rubber juice all over his clothes. This is the world's first tape raincoat.

4. El Dickson invented the Band-Aid

El Dickson is an employee of Johnson & Johnson and has just married his wife, Josephine Knight. The couple were very loving. Mrs. Dixon loved preparing food for her beloved husband, but she was clumsy and often hurt herself. After the wound is wrapped with a bandage, it cannot be fixed well, and the bandage will fall off on its own if you are not careful.

The power of love gave Eldixon an idea: he began to try putting gauze in the middle of each bandage. In this way, when his wife is injured again, she can use this kind of bandage to quickly bandage the wound. It will not fall off easily, and the wound can be quickly treated in less than thirty seconds.

5. The invention of the chair

It is said that in the ancient Han Dynasty, there was a loving couple in Lanyang City. The husband was studying late at night, and his lover always hugged him quietly behind him. He was used to this. Warmth invented the chair!

According to literary records, ancient Chinese chairs appeared in the period of Emperor Ling of the Han Dynasty (168-189). They were originally called Hu beds or Mazha Hu beds. They were widely used from the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui and Tang dynasties. Rich and powerful people not only have a necessary room in their home, but also have to have a bed carried by their attendants for temporary rest when traveling.
