Patented in China. Why are there Chinese and English versions?

Patents are public, so it is normal to translate them into English.

Patents are publicly protected. During the publicity period, the public has the right to use the document reasonably. In addition, patent protection is regional. Patents applied for in China are not protected outside People's Republic of China (PRC) if they are not registered internationally and granted patent authorization within the statutory time limit.

But you can't apply for a patent after translation. Translation is only reprocessed according to the original meaning, which does not meet the requirements of patent application, so the patent cannot be made public.
