Brief introduction of Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology

Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology of China Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Beihuayuan) was established in June 1958, and it is one of the earliest scientific research institutions engaged in comprehensive research of petrochemical industry in China. The origin history can be traced back to the Huanghai Chemical Industry Research Society, which was founded in August 1922 by the famous patriotic industrialist Mr. Fan Xudong and the famous scientist Dr. Hou Debang. In 21, the research institute of Yanshan Branch was integrated into Beihua Institute. At present, Beihuayuan has formed a development pattern of one hospital and three places. The headquarters of the hospital is located in the North Third Ring Road of Beijing, with elegant environment, convenient transportation and complete living facilities. The scientific experimental base in Tongzhou District has begun to take shape and has complete functions. Yanshan Branch, adjacent to Yanshan Petrochemical Company, is rich in raw material resources and convenient for pilot test. In 21, we established close business ties with Qilu Branch Research Institute, Yangzi Branch Research Institute and Yanshan Branch Resin Application Research Institute, and established Qilu Branch, Yangzi Branch and Yanshan Resin Institute of Beihua Institute, which further strengthened our new product development and technical service capabilities.

National technical centers such as the National Engineering Research Center for Polyolefin, the National Engineering Research Center for the Synthesis of New Rubber and Plastic Materials, the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Basic Organic Raw Materials, the National Chemical Building Materials Testing Center and the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Polymer Materials and Products have been established, and academic journals and industry magazines such as Petrochemical, Chemical Environmental Protection and Petrochemical Express have been published, among which Petrochemical was rated as "RCCSE China Authoritative Academic Journal" by China Academic Journal Evaluation Committee.

It plays a key role in the development, popularization and application of large-scale complete sets of technologies such as 1 million tons/year ethylene, 3, tons/year polyethylene, 3, tons/year polypropylene, C5 separation, ethylene trimerization to 1- hexene, solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber and SBS, and provides strong support for the localization of main technologies in petrochemical industry. Using the large-scale ethylene cracking furnace technology of Beihua Institute, 63 cracking furnaces have been built, with a total production capacity of 5.27 million tons/year. Large-scale polypropylene complete technology * * * Construction of 27 sets of production devices with a total capacity of 4.71 million tons/year. 3 varieties of petrochemical catalysts with 49 brands, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, pre-depropanization and pre-hydrogenation, C2 hydrogenation, C3 catalytic distillation, pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation, low-temperature methanation, olefin decarbonization/dehydrogenation/alkynylation/deoxygenation, ethylene oxychlorination, ethylene oxidation to cyclohexane, phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride and organic amine, have been successfully developed. In terms of new synthetic materials, we have successfully developed new synthetic resin products such as PE1, high-speed and high-stiffness BOPP, polypropylene for direct production of automobile bumpers, high-impact polypropylene and high-crystalline polypropylene, as well as new synthetic rubber varieties such as ternary integrated rubber, styrene-butadiene transparent resin, SIS, low cis polybutadiene rubber, block styrene-butadiene rubber, brominated butyl rubber and rare earth isoprene rubber. In terms of energy saving and consumption reduction, pollution source control, and the development and promotion of sewage reuse technology, a large number of scientific research achievements of Beihua Institute have been widely used, which strongly supports clean production and cost reduction and efficiency improvement of enterprises.

at present, ethylene cracking technology, polypropylene catalyst technology, SBS technology, C2 selective hydrogenation catalyst, C3 selective hydrogenation catalyst, polyethylene catalyst, polypropylene catalyst and nano-powder rubber have been exported.

Beihua University is one of the first master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. It has two master's degree awarding points, namely, Material Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering and Technology, and is also a joint training unit approved by the Ministry of Education. Established in 21, Post-Doctoral Research Center has the qualification of independent recruitment. Beihua Institute has a research branch and 12 research departments, and has a scientific research team with outstanding professional and technical advantages. At present, the total number of employees is more than 1,19, including 1 academician of China Academy of Engineering, 6 professors and 399 senior engineers.
